Michelle Malkin reports that THE JESSICA LUNSFORD ACT has been passed by the Florida legislature, and was signed into law today by Gov. Jeb Bush.
The Jessica Lunsford Act sets a mandatory sentence of 25 years to life in prison for people convicted of molesting children under 12. If offenders serve less than life, they would be required to wear a global positioning system device after their release so authorities can monitor their whereabouts.
Preying on adults is certainly terrible and ought to be punished to the fullest extent possible, but when monsters start preying on our children, that's when I say, "Throw the whole, blinkin' encyclopaedia at 'em, and kick 'em in the nuts while they're down, too."
Whacked-out sick-os like these should be put away and never see the light of day again. And it's just too bad if you think that's not very PC - if our society cannot aggressively pursue and punish those people who feed off our most vulnerable members, I have no patience for it. I am intolerant of that sort of behaviour.
