For my quilting friends...

... particularly the Red Queen!

Well, almost all done unpacking the fabric and doing the basic set up in my studio area in the new house.

Wow!

I have a LOT of fabric!

Fabricshelves1_1Here's how it looked a couple of weeks ago. Actually, it was fascinating how the Beloved Husband set up and planned the whole thing. I don't know why, but he built that whole unit as one piece. And, I don't know how, but it worked!

Although, it was quite interesting with all the mental gyrations we went through to figure out how to lift it up from lying flat and face down on the floor (which is how we built it). Fortunately, it lifted up into place very nicely.

While I was down in Florida with my parents, my Most Magnificent and Wonderful Husband put the polyurethane on it. So, when I got back, I "painted" boards, which he cut into their proper lengths, and here's what happened:

And they fill up even more... (complete with cat, of course) Dsc00266Dsc00256

Until, finally, they're PACKED!

*sigh*

I'm a fabric hoarder - those two pictures are only about 2/3s of my "collection"... Now I need to get the big machine settled and calibrated (all those bars must be parallel, and it must be level), and then organize my quilting books, threads, rulers, and notions... Oh, I still have a ways to go, LOL!
