I've been having a Lord of the Rings marathon today. My Beloved Husband and I have the complete extended version of all three movies, and I've been enjoying their rich imagry, excellent acting, and superior plot line.
But you know what I've been enjoying most? I've been loving seeing Aragorn, Boromir, Faramir, Theoden, and Eomer - warriors all, and yet so able to be tender and to cherish the ladies they love.
That's a real man. A real hero. A man unafraid to stand for what is right, unafraid to fight for it - and still a man strong enough to show tenderness, respect, and passion to their Ladies.
