I have been a subscriber to XM Radio since December, 2004, thanks to the Beloved Husband™'s very thoughtful Christmas gift that year. I really enjoy being able to listen to Steve, E.D., and Brian on Fox&Friends in the morning (FoxNews), I loooove channel 168 (FoxNews Talk), and also Highway 16 (Country Hits).
However, just recently, I "discovered" channel 113, which is XM Pops - Classical's Greatest Hits. I love it! I've heard Gershwin, Strauss, Dvorak, Beethoven, Yo-Yo Ma and Bobby McFerrin (!!!), the Mormon Tabernacle Choir (baaaad theology, goooooood music!!!), Copeland, some guy playing classics on a harmonica (don't knock it: it was brilliant!)... Oh, and just now they were playing Gilbert and Sullivan's "I Am the Very Model of a Modern Major General," from the Pirates of Penzance.
Now, why didn't I have the sense to appreciate this really awesome stuff when I was younger?
I love XM Radio!
