Why don't you go find out?
Previously, I had asked for and received a lot of email from troops around the world (but mostly in Iraq and Afghanistan) about the Democrat resolutions for retreat...especially, in the face of the surge and a new Commanding General that the Democrats unamimously approved of...I haven't received one troop email that supports the Democrat position of cut and run.
Make sure you read the whole thing, including comments...
Like I've asked before: Why don't we listen to what the troops have to say about this whole thing? Why won't the Demorats/Democrat(icks) listen to and heed what the men and women on the ground have to say about their progress and our prospects on victory?
And why won't the Rethuglicans, who are supposed to be the "Party of National Security and Supporting the Troops," bloody well find their spines and cojones (assuming they ever had them), and stop acting like wussies?!
Americans want to win. Our troops want to win... But Congress - the lily-livered yellow dog cowards and pissants that they are - Congress wants to cut and run.
You know, my daughter has a weekly prefix or suffix she needs to memorize and use. This week's is "-cian," and the word list includes "politician." Dictionary.com provides this definition:
- a person who is active in party politics.
- a seeker or holder of public office, who is more concerned about winning favor or retaining power than about maintaining principles.
- a person who holds a political office.
- a person skilled in political government or administration; statesman or stateswoman.
- an expert in politics or political government.
- a person who seeks to gain power or advancement within an organization in ways that are generally disapproved.
I rather like that last one...
(Thanks, Grumpy!)
