My cousins... Oh, dear God
UPDATE: This post will stay on top for awhile. This is Kender, and I have the keys while R'Cat is away taking care of business. Please keep the prayers coming for her family, which has suffered a tremendous loss. I have a son myself, and can't imagine losing him, much less the anguish that these girls dad must be going through. Like I said, keep the prayers coming. New posts (there are coming) will be below this post.
Thank you.
Three of my cousins died today - Mom and two beautiful, lovely girls...
Oh, God, oh, God... What do I say...?!
Dear GOD IN HEAVEN... WHY?
Oh Father, receive their souls, I pray... Let them enter into Your presence! Be with their father and comfort him. Uphold him in Your arms and give him Your strength and Your peace...
Oh... GOD>>>!
UPDATE: I would ask in particular for prayers for their Dad. He loved his family SO much! He needs strength and comfort and support. His two girls were beautiful, bright, and loving and to lose them and their Mom must be... I have no words.
God, oh, GOD, I know You are good and holy and loving, but
HOW COULD YOU TAKE THEM!!???
The family is unlikely to ask for donations - I will give information if they do - but I BEG you to pray for them and ask God to show His love and support and strength...
I, personally, am clinging to
Have you not known?
Have you not heard?
The everlasting God, the LORD,
The Creator of the ends of the earth,
Neither faints nor is weary.
His understanding is unsearchable.
He gives power to the weak,
And to those who have no might He increases strength.
Even the youths shall faint and be weary,
And the young men shall utterly fall,
But those who wait on the LORD
Shall renew their strength;
They shall mount up with wings like eagles,
They shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not faint.
El-Shaddai, Elohim, Jehovah Rophe, Jehovah Jireh, God our Savior - BE OUR ROCK!!

This has helped me, when I've been tempted to question why?
I'm so sorry, Kat.
I was sure by now
That You would have reached down
And wiped our tears away
Stepped in and saved the day
But once again, I say "Amen", and it's still raining
As the thunder rolls
I barely hear Your whisper through the rain
"I'm with you"
And as Your mercy falls
I raise my hands and praise the God who gives
And takes away
I'll praise You in this storm
And I will lift my hands
For You are who You are
No matter where I am
Every tear I've cried
You hold in Your hand
You never left my side
And though my heart is torn
I will praise You in this storm
I remember when
I stumbled in the wind
You heard my cry
You raised me up again
My strength is almost gone
How can I carry on
If I can't find You
As the thunder rolls
I barely hear You whisper through the rain
"I'm with you"
And as Your mercy falls
I raise my hands and praise the God who gives
And takes away
I lift my eyes unto the hills
Where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord
The Maker of Heaven and Earth
I'll praise You in this storm
And I will lift my hands
For You are who You are
No matter where I am
Every tear I've cried
You hold in Your hand
You never left my side
And though my heart is torn
I will praise You in this storm

We are all here to fulfill aour part in God's plan. Some finish their job early, to our sorrow and confusion. Right now, your sorrows are writ deep, but they are only scribed in sand. I pray that His hand will soon pass over the sand, scatter it, and leave only the good memories that are carved in the stone beneath...

Kat,
The anguish is raw, unspeakable and unfathomable. It is a sacred hurt that we seek to ease. Only time, love and prayers can do that.
For now, celebrate three lovely lives well lived, a God who sees and knows beyond our comprehension and will show us why when He knows we are ready to grow. For now, my prayer for you and their husband and father is for the peace that surpasses understanding, for our Elder Brother Christ to hold Him in His arms and let him know he is not alone, for He walked this way before.

1st corinthians 14
17 But someone may say, "How are the dead raised? With what kind of body will they come back?"
36
18 You fool! What you sow is not brought to life unless it dies.
37
And what you sow is not the body that is to be but a bare kernel of wheat, perhaps, or of some other kind;
38
but God gives it a body as he chooses, and to each of the seeds its own body.
39
19 Not all flesh is the same, but there is one kind for human beings, another kind of flesh for animals, another kind of flesh for birds, and another for fish.
40
There are both heavenly bodies and earthly bodies, but the brightness of the heavenly is one kind and that of the earthly another.
41
The brightness of the sun is one kind, the brightness of the moon another, and the brightness of the stars another. For star differs from star in brightness.
42
20 So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown corruptible; it is raised incorruptible.
43
It is sown dishonorable; it is raised glorious. It is sown weak; it is raised powerful.
44
It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual one.
45
So, too, it is written, "The first man, Adam, 21 became a living being," the last Adam a life-giving spirit.
46
But the spiritual was not first; rather the natural and then the spiritual.
47
The first man was from the earth, earthly; the second man, from heaven.
48
As was the earthly one, so also are the earthly, and as is the heavenly one, so also are the heavenly.
49
Just as we have borne the image of the earthly one, we shall also bear the image 22 of the heavenly one.
50
23 24 This I declare, brothers: flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does corruption inherit incorruption.
51
25 Behold, I tell you a mystery. We shall not all fall asleep, but we will all be changed,
52
in an instant, in the blink of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
53
For that which is corruptible must clothe itself with incorruptibility, and that which is mortal must clothe itself with immortality.
54
26 And when this which is corruptible clothes itself with incorruptibility and this which is mortal clothes itself with immortality, then the word that is written shall come about: "Death is swallowed up in victory.
55
Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?"

"Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of Go" (2 Cor. 1:3,4).
May God grant you all His comfort and peace during this time of bereavement.

Condolences from Spain.

There are no answers and there never will be. A similar tragedy occurred in my family. One must learn to live, knowing that these innocents, lived on this plane if only for a brief moment and were loved.
May all find strength and move forward.

I am sorry for your loss. I truly am, it breaks my heart to hear of good people passing.
The Lord must have need of their talents in the here-after. All we can do, those left behind, is have faith that the Lord knows what is best, even when we don't understand.

As long as we have free will, evil or stupid people will cause good people grief.
There is no way around this ... we are not robots, we must all choose what we do ... be it good, bad, or negligent.

And death shall have no dominion
Dead men naked shall be one
With the man in the wind and the west moon
And when the bones are picked clean
And the clean bones gone
They shall have stars
At elbow and foot
Though they go mad they shall all be sane
Though they sink through the seas
They shall rise again
Though lovers be lost
Love shall not
And death shall have no dominion

Kat, When my Mom died this quote was so close to me: At a funeral we bury something not someone; it is the house not the tenant that is lowered into the grave.

May it bring you peace in time also. As always sis, You and yours are in my prayers.

I'm so very sorry and so very sad. They were all involved in the children's choirs, and if there's anything we can do, please let me know. I know the "Chalice Singers" will be more than willing to sing "Dona Nobis Pacem", a song both the girls had sung with us last fall. Please know that our church community is holding you and your family and especially their father in our hearts during this difficult time and our prayers are with you.

I'm so sorry for you loss and i'm in shock. I just read about it in the paper and I knew all of them. Your 12 year old cousin was in my class when they were homeschooling. I can't believe this happened. They were beautiful smart girls - just starting a new adventure in school, middle school even. She called herself Caballo in my spanish class, horse, which she loved. I'm crying for you and I'll try to make it to the funeral to give my condulences for their father and husband. I"m glad people on hear can find faith but i have trouble at these times yet God has a plan even if we are in mourning. Life is precious.

Prayers for you and your family...may the Lord Jesus hold you and your family close to his Immaculate Heart this day and always, may the Holy Spirit be with you and give you peace. Our God is a god of all understanding turn your grief over to the Lord each day and as it wells-up inside of you. With grace and in his time you will smile again, take comfort in knowing those you love are safe in His arms free of the pain of this earth.
Now we see through a glass darkly, but through faith in our Lord we are saved and through Him, with Him and in Him our frailties are forgiven and heaven is our home.

To quote your own logo up there in the corner: Precious in the sight of the LORD
Is the death of His saints.
May the Good Lord be with you and your family at this trying time.

Up above me,
Wayward angels,
A blur of wings and grace.
One for courage,
One for safety,
One for "just in case".
I thought a light went out
but now a candle shines.
I thought my tears wouldn't stop
but then I dried my eyes.
And after all of this
the truth that holds me here
Is that this emptiness
is something not to fear.
Yeah, I'll keep wondering
how we know where we belong,
After all the journeys made
and the journeys yet to come.
When I feel like giving up
instead of going on,
Somewhere in between...
Yeah, I'm just wondering
how we know where we belong?
Is it in the arc of the moon
leaving shadows on the lawn?
In the path of fireflies
and a single bird at dawn,
Singing in between here and gone.

May I add to the comments above via Lord Nazh and say that they are in a better place now and will not grow old. those left - you - are the suffering.

Father, be with them in this time of loss. Grant unto them Your peace. Comfort them as they mourn. Shelter them under Your strong arm and bear their sorrow.
"The LORD is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those who are crushed in spirit." (Psalm 34:18)
"Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and he shall sustain thee; he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved." (Psalms 55:22)
