That he is the best friend to American liberty, who is most sincere and active in promoting true and undefiled religion, and who sets himself with the greatest firmness to bear down profanity and immorality of every kind. Whoever is an avowed enemy of God, I scruple not to call him an enemy of his country.…
It is in the man of piety and inward principle, that we may expect to find the uncorrupted patriot, the useful citizen, and the invincible soldier. God grant that in America true religion and civil liberty may be inseparable and that the unjust attempts to destroy the one, may in the issue tend to the support and establishment of both. So, if you want to try to convince me to vote for someone who supports abortion - I'm not going to do it. If you want me to vote for someone who supports government interference in our lives - I'm not going to do it. If you want me to vote for someone whose life consistently flouts biblical standards - I'm not going to do it.
I am tired of voting for the "lesser of two evils." I am tired of "settling." I do not care anymore if my vote ends up putting Queen Shrillary in the Presidency. I will not - I cannot - personally support anyone who supports values which are totally in opposition to my faith.
You know, if people would stop thinking they had to vote for someone who is a "candidate who can win" versus "the right candidate," then perhaps we could return this country back to her solid foundations.
So, believe me, if it's a Shrillary vs. Guiliani race for the Presidency - I'm going to write in a vote for Duncan Hunter... and let the chips fall where they may.
God is still in control of history, people, even if "the worst case scenario" happens. It has been said that God permits us to have the leaders we deserve - so, don't you think we all ought to start working to deserve something better?
