Well, well, well... Speculation running rampant (UPDATED)
With about an hour to go before Lt. Gov. Bolling is scheduled to make a "major announcement" (planned for 1:30pm today), WRVA is reporting that it probably won't be that he's running for Governor in 2009...
Now that's very interesting... The times I've met the Lt. Gov. at various functions, his speeches have frequently given his enthusiastic (and joking) endorsement to Bob McDonnell "for Lieutenant Governor," strongly implying that Mr. Bolling would run for Governor.
If this speculation pans out, it would be very interesting to find out the reasons behind this move - although I've got a couple politically savvy friends who have a few suggestions...

UPDATE 2: Confirmed.... And Jim Hoeft got a tip that it's going to be a McDonnell-Bolling ticket on '09... Riley is reporting Jim's tip as confirmed, and speculating whether the Republicans will present Sen. Cuccinelli for the AG spot...
