When I lived in Alaska I would let my Cat Spanky run around on the roof. One day the neighbors daughter about 9 years old knocked on our door and stated "YOU HAVE A CAT ON YOUR ROOF." Spanky was hanging halfway off the roof looking at the little girl and jumped down into my wifes outstretched arms and let the little girl pet him. He was very special and I miss him greatly.

Spanky sounds like he was wonderful... I still miss my Romeo, who was 19 when he went across the Rainbow Bridge 5 years ago. He came to me when I was in college in New Orleans, and traveled to Florida, Spain, Hawaii, Washington state, and Virginia (and parts in between) with me. He was truly a gentlemanly and regal kittipurr, and I still miss him, too...
