Last night, a group of online friends started discussing who the original Federalists and Republicans were, and then totally jumped the shark. "Richard" (all names - except mine - have been changed to protect the guilty) started it, proving yet again that all roads (in our group, at least) lead to Monty Python, and interjected:

Of course, *I* couldn't let that pass - after all, he didn't quote the BEST part! - so I jumped in and responded:
